Very bright light bulb with a constantly recharging battery. It recharges while in a light socket being used as a normal light bulb. What it DOES NOT do, is automatically turn on when there is a power failure (which is what the ads led us to believe). To use it during a power failure, you have to unscrew the bulb, put an attachment on it, press the button and hang it up. Even though it is not as advertised, I still give it five stars because it recharges, and for how bright it is. But shame on the manufacturer for pretending that it will just turn itself on in the event of a power outage.
