I've really been anticipating this show as I've been a fan of the comic from the time when it first came out. For those that don't know, writer/creator Robert Kirkman also created the Walking Dead comic (which the TV show is based on), but I think Invincible is his best work. After the first three episodes I'm not disappointed. It's super gory just like the comic. The art resembles Cory Walker's, who was the artist for the first few issues of the comic. There are three things that get on my nerves so far: 1. Any mention of "that's sexist" (because the comic had none of that crap). 2. The songs/soundtrack they play during certain scenes which are abysmal. 3. I'm not a fan of the remainder of the episodes coming out on a weekly basis. This isn't cable television, so don't treat it that way. Thanks for negating the benefits of online streaming /s. It's Pretty true to the comic so far. The story really picked up after Mark got out of high school, which was pretty early on in the span of 144 issues. So hopefully this period in his life doesn't take up too many episodes. Highly recommended and thank you Amazon. This is easily the best thing they have produced. Oh and almost forgot, the voice cast is incredible! J. K. Simmons, Sandra Oh, Mark Hamill, Seth Rogan, Gillian Jacobs, Walton Goggins, and Jason Mantzoukas are perfect. Also wanted to say that parents should be advised, this is an adults-only cartoon. Please don't let your kids watch this. Edit 4/5/2021: I'm four episodes in and the music is getting much worse. It's really taking away from the scenes where it's prominent. Where did they find this garbage? Update 4/10/2021: The fifth episode is by far the best so far and most true to the comic. I hear all the anti-woke folks in the comments and their complaints, and yes, I agree that episode 3 greatly suffered because of it. But that was only one episode. Don't let one episode make you miss out on a great series.
