I had purchased a different brand of bag similar to this bag for less money however; I could never get the "barnyard" smell to go away! (returned) Komal C leather bag smelled like leather should and after hanging it outside for a day or so I had to put my nose right on it to even smell the leather! Wonderful!! The old saying you get what you pay for really applies purchasing a bag. I looked it over very carefully when I unwrapped it and could not find anything that I would change. I HIGHLY recommend this for a weekend, short trip, or carry on bag. I am taking it as a carry on a over seas trip next week which should be just the perfect item for this purpose. The leather is pretty true to the picture color however; I went over the entire bag with some Mink oil (approved in the included letter) which darkened it a bit more evenly them buffed it out some with a clean white cloth. Looks great! Look no further, this bag is quality and the Dopp bag I bought previously make this a matching pair. If you are looking for a good quality leather carry on bag this is without compare and an excellent value for the money.
