Pros:__________ - Minimum plastic, as almost all is built from aluminum. - The design closely resembles as a MacBook. - When opening it up the back hinge raises the keyboard which makes it extremely comfortable when typing. - Backlit keyboard. - SSD drive is fast and a great upgrade to have on any computer. - Battery life can reach close to 14 hours, but with video / programming usage it’ll last to 8 hours. - Sufficient volume limit. - The latest the USB 3.1 is built in (of course you’re getting HDMI, headset jack, etc.). - A Decent webcam that is still in good use when dealing with low lighting. - Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are both consistent and no problems in connectivity. - The charging on this system is incredibly fast. The battery life can grow from 0 to 60% after only an hour plugged in. - Responsive glass trackpad. - Around .6-.7 inches thick. Nice and thin. - Its UWVA technology is able to hold its ground to create a decent viewing in brightness when the sun is right at it. Cons and Oks:__________ - Weight is around 3.3 lbs. - Even with large openings the speakers are small but are still decent enough to listen. - Glossy screen makes it highly reflective. - There are numerous complaints that the hinges are the same in the previous model. I know that the previous model hinges would break down after almost a year in use so I hope this model is the exception. - Bloatware when starting it up such as Dropbox, McAfee, Livesafe, Office 365, etc. - Not the best in gaming. An average of medium to low in graphics to get a somewhat decent fps rate. - 250 GB is not a larger hard drive. Way too small in the world we live in. - No standard touchscreen. - Difficult to upgrade the memory as it’s soldered to the motherboard. Bottom line:__________ If you don’t want to buy a MacBook this is where you’ll go. The SDD is a super perk to have as those who are programmers, Photoshop users, and designers will all be able to use this computer without drawbacks. The concept is design for those who are on the go but still want an above quality laptop when dealing with some stronger programs. Overall, I love the fact that you can extend the battery life to almost 14 hours without sacrificing much in experience. It’s a respected laptop and even though it’s low in storage, it’ll still be a useful tool to all.
