Great Multizone Heater. Works well, customizable, Preheat and get's warm!
Wife Loves it. Overall; it works great, heats up quickly and we don't feel the wires (some have questions about that). We set each side and each individual zone differently, select PreHeat and the bed is toasty warm in about 15 minutes. It's absolutely exactly what my wife was looking for.
A few notes based on questions and/or prior reviews:
* The remote is an average size (given what it does) and sits flat. Not sure why some would complain it's too big or an odd shape. It's larger, but that's because of the 2 zone separation. The buttons are small plastic mechanical buttons (not digital) but they work fine. The screen only lights up, not the buttons, so you have to remember them to use it a night. There are only 8 though, so it's not rocket science. All in all, I give the remote itself 4.5 stars.
* The cables. Yes, it's a bit of an odd setup having to run the 2 large cables from the foot of the bed, underneath and to a power outlet. All in all, not a big deal. Easy to set up, they work fine and you hide them with your duvet or bed skirt. Ideal? Maybe not, but it works and is only a challenge if HGTV is coming to your house to do a photo shoot and you're worried about them being seen.
* The connections. They connectors for the cables are heavy duty (which I think is good). But they do require some force to click into place. I suspect many of the people with problems and/or any error messages stem from not firmly connecting the cables. Once in they are solid. I don't feel them with my feet and I'm 6 foot. So not a problem for us.
* Heat. This thing gets warm. I keep my side on 1 and my wife keeps hers on 2. Any more than that and we'd be waking up sweating in the middle of the night. If you have anything thicker than a cotton sheet though, you may need higher settings. Your mileage may vary but 1-2 is plenty for us.
* Single remote: We don't adjust the heat all night long, so the 1 remote is fine for us. It took us all of 3 nights to figure out the settings and now we turn it on before bed and leave it. Not a problem. I can see why some people might want individual remotes, but that isn't our need. Set it and forget it is better. Who wants to be up in the middle of the night adjusting this thing?
* Durability. We've only had this for a couple months, but it seems and has been durable so far. Time will tell, but I don't have any concerns based on the construction quality. I bought the extra warranty for about $6 through Amazon just in case. Everything seems solid.
