I wasn't sure which size to order so I got a large and medium since there was free return shipping. I got the large first and washed and wore them; really liked them. The mediums came today and I like them even more, but since I already washed the large I'm going to keep them too. I hope this review will help someone trying to decide between sizes, I am 5'11" and 150 pounds with large thighs and bottom. Depending on the brand I'm between a size 6 and 14, but usually wear an 8 or 10 in most brands. The size medium of these shorts gave me a trim fit-- similar to the model in the product photo but a little looser around the thighs, not skintight as in the photo. The size large gave me a slightly baggier fit. I prefer the trimmer fit because I feel like the extra fabric makes me look bigger, but as I mentioned above I am keeping the large and will wear them, too. I often find that my bottoms "gap" at my waist due to my larger hips, but the mediums fit perfectly at the waist. I may even remove the drawstring if I can. The larges won't fall off if I don't use the drawstring but I do need to use it to keep the shorts near my waist. They are very comfy and washed up nicely (I washed them in cold water and hung to dry). I bought them for lounge shorts, but was very pleased to find these are structured enough for me to wear out in public, too. I had purchased the Jockey Women's Boxer and Champion Women's Jersey Short a few months ago but found those to be too short and flimsy to wear out of the house. I much prefer these shorts.
