At first Accuracy wasn't so good, as expected
At first Accuracy wasn't so good, as expected. No mass produced thermometer is unless each one is individually calibrated to NIST standards (I'm an engineer and retired US Vet if that helps justify the honesty of this review). However, if you turn the thermometer over you'll notice the bi-metallic coil on the back side, a small portion of which protrudes from a slot of its plastic housing. Tap this metal a few times with a tooth pick to make sure it's not stuck or bound-up. It should feel kind of springy and spring back freely. I have checked this thermometer against two mercury type thermometers, a local weather app on my cell phone, and my car (2014 Impala) and it's within 2 degrees. Cant expect better for this price. If the sun is beating down on it, all bets are off; it's needs to be in the shade if you want a reasonably accurate outside air temperature. As for sticking to the glass window -- no problem -- just wash the window first (I used windex), and it adheres just fine.
