I had foot surgery and was totally non weight bearing for 8 weeks. This scooter was a game changer. I was not stuck sitting in one spot with my foot up all day. I was able to be mobile using the scooter (I also had a walker and crutches but never needed to use them as this works perfectly). It never made me feel off balance, the brakes on both sides of the handlebars (instead of just on one side like some) is very useful in making me feel more secure. I was easily able to maneuver around my small house and in tight spots. It rolls flawlessly, on tile and wood floors and also outside on pavement. The seat and handlebars are adjustable to what was comfortable to me and the basket on the front is a very nice extra added touch. I fill my basket with my drink or snacks and off I go. The wider wheel base in the front adds for extra stability. I've never felt like I was going to fall or lean over. I don't think I could have made it through the 8 weeks without it.
