It takes a little getting used to, but I must admit after the second or third time of putting it on, it feels fine. I wear it over a t-shirt, so it never rubs directly against the skin. The "force" of the brace actually is gentle, and you can feel it align the back without any heavy pressure. I was skeptical on ordering this but am pleased. The directions are not the best, BUT the video does a good job showing how to put it on and pull up on the straps. I would recommend this product without hesitation. I have a medium body frame, so I have plenty of Velcro to work with.
