Works and looks great. Others have noted that it is loud and it is louder than my other low-watt space heater. But it also has a stronger fan. Someone compared it to a hair dryer, which was not the case for mine. I would compare it to a ventilator fan over an oven (on low). I could have it on in my living room doing normal things with no issue. You will hear it, though. I don't mind white-noise. I live in an apartment with breakers that can't carry a big load so it was essential that it have a "low" setting (700 watt). The boiler was out in my apartment building so I basically had to run this on low all the time (cold snap here in CA!). I'm impressed. The metal case does not get hot and I feel safe with it on. I posted a video of the "fireplace" effect. funny 3-ed effect ist like looking at it through a view-master.
