Inexpensive, portable bug protection.Folded size: 4'x7.5x7.5.
I can set this up by myself. It is faster with 2 people. I have used it for lounging in my open garage. I intend to use it for camping and for lounging, reading, etc. on my deck at home. It is a SCREEN shelter so don't expect it to protect you from rain. You would not get wet only if the rain is not driven and you are directly under the center of the shelter (an area less than 10'x10'- maybe 7'x7'). I intend to use a shade (maybe an emergency solar blanket)to block the sun on one side when necessary. There is a loop in the top center from which a light or fan could be hung. Guylines are attached to each corner. There are flaps at the bottom of each wall that can fit inside or outside. There is no floor. Front and back door zippers reach all the way to the ground. There are no vents in the ceiling. After folding, roll it on the ground with light pressure to get it narrow enough to fit back in the storage bag. The storage bag is not wheeled as indicated on Coleman's website. On a deck guylines can be tied to weights or to planks in the deck. Use a ground cover to keep bugs out. On the ground guylines can be staked; use a ground cover On concrete the guylines can be tied to weights; weights along the bottom tent flaps keep bugs from crawling underneath. Update on size in bag: I measured the outside of the carrier bag with the canopy inside. The dimensions are 7 1/2" x 7 1/4" x 48". I rolled the canopy fairly tight before putting it in the bag. How tight you roll the canopy will determine the middle diameter (how much it bulges beyond 7 1/2" by 7 1/4").
