Perfect for home use!
I did a LOT of research before I bought this rower. So many reviews, to paraphrase, said 'this is no Concept D for sure'. Well, of course it isn't. It's a third the price and not gym quality. However, if you're looking for a rower for personal home use, you cannot go wrong with this model. I've had it for several months now and I love it. The resistance is very responsive - no lag. The whooshing breeze of air that conveniently blows on you is the loudest noise. My machine has seen heavy use with no squeaks or squeals. This includes my tween son who "beasts out" on it rowing as hard and fast as possible for 20 minutes a day. I'm more of a strong and steady wins the race person. I park in it front of Netflix, turn on the captions, and row for an entire 50 minute episode. I almost dropped 1k on a Concept because of all the negative reviews I read about almost every home use rower. I think the Crossfit community might have something to do with it. Crossfit gyms mostly use Concept and I think people wanting to build out their garage gyms are expecting that quality across the board. Don't get discouraged by those reviews. The reviews are accurate - this is no Concept - but the reviews don't paint the entire picture.
