I would like to start off by saying thank you to the people at Diono for making such a amazingly safe car seat. My wife and 18 month old little boy were in a terrible car accident a few days ago due to the negligence of another driver failing to yield on a left turn at a red light. The speed limit on Goodman Rd. is 65mph and my wife says she was past the line in the intersection when the women decide that she still had enough time to make the turn in front of them. My son was buckled/strapped in forward facing in the middle of the back seat of my wife's Lexus es300 in his Radian RXT when the two cars collided. My wife says she was going approximately 55-60mph when she hit the brakes but it didn't do much seening as that there was no time stop. This car seat did its job to PERFECTION and my son made it thru the accident with only a little rub on his neck from the harness belts! We took my son to his primary care physician that day to be examined and the Dr. Said he was in perfect shape and for us to turn our worry buttons off. This car seat is worth every penny after all our little ones are priceless and I was just reminded of that the other day and everyone always thinks an accident like this one will never happen to them. This accident took place no more than 5 miles from our home. This was one of the scariest moments of my life and the good lord definitely took care of my family that morning. My wife car is the Black Lexus and the person who turned in front of her was driving the Blue Honda. I will be writing Diono a letter soon thanking them for keeping my son alive and not only that he walked with only a tiny scratch because of the seat. BTW the other lady didn't walk way. She is alive but severely injured so next time your out driving be safe and think before you act.
