So I bought this tankini set because my previous suit was a bit too snug after gaining 25 lbs. I'm 5 ft 3 in, 165 lbs, and wearing a size Large. I am smaller chested and did not have any loose fabric. Keep in mind when viewing the photos I am in the throws of menopause. Being thick waisted runs in the family. My lack of exercise is apparent; however, I don't want my self-consciousness to get in the way of bringing my kids to the beach or pool. I was aiming for comfort and this did the job. The straps can be crossed or uncrossed with ease. I personally didn't want crazy tan lines with the criss crossed straps so I did the straps similar to wearing a tank top. I may not have the body of a 20 yr old but I'm very pleased with the bathing suit.
