This bag does the job. Like others, when I buy a new "fireproof" bag, the first thing I do is make sure that the claim is at least mostly true. I did a quick test with a propane torch on the outside to see if that held up. IT. Next is to move on to a more extended test. I placed it in an oven used to cure paint. I ran it to 650 F and left the bag for an hour. The end result was that there was no damage. THe only thing to watch is the velcro. The velcro would be the only weak spot but it does exactly what its intended to do. This is a good bag. The size is large enough for any paperwork or other items you may need to use it for.
