Bought this for my dachshund (regular, NOT mini) and he's a long guy. 23 inches from nose to butt. The biggest struggle in finding a carrier is finding one that abides by airline regulations and fits a guy like him comfortably since he's so long. I was relieved to find this carrier since it expands on not one but BOTH sides. He is able to curl up and sit inside the carrier all zipped up (a tight fit but he can), but knowing that we can give him lots of extra space once the carrier is on the ground is so refreshing. I have not taken him on a plane yet, but I plane to update when I do in several months. In the mean time this has been good for transporting him when we jump in the car to go somewhere. Good quality for the price.
