My boys (ages 6 and 10) grew up using iPads and I grew up with slot cars. Anki Overdrive is a perfect blend of those two generations. My kids can enjoy playing versus each other and it's even great fun when I join in with them. This kit gets you just enough track to make a loop and two cars but the real fun comes when you buy more tracks and make something that fills the room with wild twists and turns. Many times I have come into my kid's playroom and found Anki tracks going up the bed and back down under the bed and around the room. The tracks are easy for kids to connect and disconnect with just simple magnets. The software works nicely to give the cars a nice virtual dimension with weapons that can impact the play. You can shoot the other opponent (virtually) and this will impact their car's speed. The ability to line up cars and race without getting up and resetting things is fantastic and gives you more time to play.
