My wife has osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and an auto-immune disease, not a day goes by that she doesn't struggle with a great deal of pain. For years we tried different types of water based ice packs, they were either too hard and not pliable at all or they were melting and sweating everywhere getting everything wet. Finally we settled for the old stand by, a bag of frozen peas, which seemed to be the only thing that worked for her. Last spring she injured her knee and I felt that we had finally arrived at a place where the frozen peas just weren't going to cut it, so I visited OLD RELIABLE..... AMAZON! After a brief search I stumbled onto The Coldest Water ice packs. The thing that caught my attention was the fact that these packs weren't actually filled with water or ice, but they are filled with a nifty gel that stays very pliable all the time, regardless of how cold they were. I bought an XL Compress and two small ones. My wife is very frugal and was a little annoyed at me for spending money on ice packs, when we had frozen peas. After the first day of using the new packs she was floored by the difference that The Coldest Water packs made and she never mentioned me spending money on them again. The fact that you can wrap them around the joint was a huge selling point with her. Not a day goes by where she doesn't use her gel packs they have really contributed to making her life a little more enjoyable. It may seem a little sappy, but when you live with horrible pain day in and day out, a cold pack that actually works may not seem like a big deal to most folks, but to the sufferer, it's huge! My dear wife has put these packs to the test and is very pleased with them. The large pack gets the most use and it has started to split a tiny bit on a corner seam, I messaged the company and Amazons automated message told me to expect a response within in two days, The Coldest Water folks responded in just over an hour. Later that same evening I got a message that a new gel pack was on its way... I was floored by that! So if you haven't figured it out by now I'm a BiG fan of this companie's products, "It's a great train... Everyone should ride!'
