My best food processor yet!
When I unboxed this food processor, I thought "Durn, I done bought me a toy food processor!", but I was wrong. I have owned a Cuisinart - hate the locking mechanism with a deep and abiding passion,a Cuisinart mini-prep and a Magimix 5200 with a normal feed tube, not the extra large. The Braun has been the best one for my needs by far. It has the convenience of a Mini-Prep with the functionality of a full size processor. I received it on December 19 th and have used it everyday and oftentimes multiple times a day because it is so light and easy to clean. I have made bread dough, pizza dough, a batch of cookies, shredded cheese, minced cooked chicken and sliced vegetables. I love that there are arrows on the base, the large bowl, the lid and the mini bowl showing the appropriate place to put each item and then move to close/engage. Initially before I noticed the arrow markings, I thought i might not get much use out of the mini bowl because it seemed awkward to engage the lid and also to open it. That has changed and now I know I will use it often. Also, unlike my Magiimix (which I used less often because it was too big to bother for smaller jobs, the mini bowl does not spill into the big bowl, so you can use the mini bowl and have only one bowl to clean. I don't see the Braun available many places so I have to stop myself from buying a back-up and Adrian Monk-like a back-up for the back-up. Can you tell that I love this little dude? For bakers - the processor is meant to handle a max of 500g/4 cups of flour plus other ingredients. I don't know what the longevity will be at this point, but I'll update my review in 6 months/ 1 year and hopefully after that again
