Let me start out by saying that this is the best french press I have ever used. Some presses are hard to clean because they don't come with very fine mesh strainers for the press and grounds get stuck. The glass carafe comes out of the holder which is also nice since some cheap presses have the glass glued to the base. The press itself isn't really that heavy which is great when pouring your coffee first thing in the morning.
