I use this for when I shampoo- I have 3c-4a hair. This is perfect after a long day at the beach or a workout. The bristles are an inbetween of soft and hard rubber- with mild pressure they bend. For kinky hair I personally recommend putting the hair into four braids, and then massaging your scalp so your hair doesn't get tangled.
