I love these. They have a great color, flavor is slightly bitter (as it should be) and the fragrance when boiling with spices fills my kitchen with a beautiful scent. I've seen other reviews regarding "stems, rocks and dried green berries" being in the bag. Yes...yes there are all those things. But, you also find odds and ends that don't belong in dried beans and peas. Elderberries are SMALL there are a ton of them on each head of berries...they are hard to get off the stems and once washed and dried they are even SMALLER! It takes only a short time to go through the bag and pick out what you don't want in there. If you wanted a full bag of only pure, ripe berries may I suggest YOU propagate them, you grow and tend them, you pick them, you wash and process them, you dry them and package them. And you'll see just how long that process is! It's really not a big deal....people are in such a hurry these days! If you don't want to go through all of that then buy it already made into syrup! I highly recommend these, I am quite pleased with them and the syrup they made is delicious and healthful!
