So it turns out that the only way I can dye my hair at work is if it's a natural color. So that means red. I thought this product may have been too good to be true because of the price, but DANG was I surprised. I used a mixture of one part lemon juice (the cheap stuff it works) and two parts water and kept adding them randomly bit by bit until It was ketchup/yogurt consistency. I covered it and kept it in a dark, room temperature place overnight. when I went back to it the paste no longer looked like bad guacamole (there were still chunks in it), But very smoothed out and looked more orange on the top. I then stirred it, added a bit more lemon juice and water back to yogurt consistency and I was on my way. It is a good idea, as I learned the hard way, to slather it on section by section because the paste isn't smooth at all and makes your hair tangle. I left it on for 3 hours. The package comes with gloves and a shower cap which was a bonus I did not expect. My hair is short, to the middle of my neck, and average thickness and one of the henna packets (there are two 50 gram packets) was perfect and left me with a little extra for touch up. I don't have a before picture but I have lightish brown hair. Also, don't be alarmed if your hair is more orange than you expected on the first day, it will deepen. Mine was orange/red and turned into auburn/red. You will have so many compliments. So many.
