My 16 year old son knows how to play and my 7 year old nephew wants to take lessons. My Nephews birthday is in September. I got this for his birthday gift. My 16 year old got it out of the box to check it out for defects and to tune it for my nephew. It is a very nice classic guitar. We were impressed with everything it comes with. There won't be a need to purchase any thing extra because it was all included, which is fantastic! It's smaller size will make it much easier for my 7 year old nephew to maneuver and play. The sound is good and it is made of great quality materials and is made with pride, considering that they give you a warranty they are confident in the construction of the product they make.
