This lock works! I come back on the lightrail and find the cable cut through, but not the lock itself so my bike was still there! Perhaps they thought I was foolish enough to use the cable as the primary method of keeping my bike secure, either way they didn't succeed in their main goal. This lock is also much thicker, heavier and beefier than my old U-Lock (which rusted shut after many years) so it just *feels* more secure. Honestly it'd probably be easier to cut through the bike than this lock if I had to guess. Very satisfied! Now to find if it's worthwhile replacing the cable!
