I bought this for my husband & son who commute together. They leave early & want a hot breakfast sandwich, but are not ready to eat first thing in the morning. I make bagel sandwiches (egg, sausage or whatever) for the week & freeze them wrapped in parchment or freezer paper & foil (complaints that the foil in direct contact w/the food left a tinny taste). This unit fits two large bagel sandwiches perfectly and heats them from frozen in just over an hour, turning them once about half way. With a little trial & error this has worked fantasticly for them...not to mention economical! It has easily paid for itself! We have had no fuse issues, as others have mentioned. We have a 20015 Nissan Rogue. Their only minor complaints...The cord fits very tightly in its compartment (though it's a nice bonus to have the compartment at all). Also, when driving alone it's a bit of a nuisance to plug & unplug it. It would be convenient if it could be left plugged in & have an on/off switch. I think we will buy a second one for my other son who commutes in another direction. Besides, we wouldn't be able to fit a third sandwich in one unit. We do not use any sort of liner, but the sandwiches are thoroughly wrapped. Occasionally it necessitates a wipe-out with a damp cloth. No trouble at all. We highly recommend this!
