Within a few weeks of beginning to use this product, I wrote the following review: "I was very pleased when this arrived - had a beautiful gleam to it, and kept the coffee warm for the 2nd and 3rd cup. Unfortunately, after a few weeks of use, the "stainless steel" near the spout began to bubble, and a rust stain began to leach through. There is no recovering or cleaning it," Since then, the manufacturer has reached out to me, apologizing for the defective item that I received, and promptly sending a replacement. They were responsive and proactive, qualities that are rare and much appreciated. The replacement press has performed as advertised, without any corrosion after multiple uses and washings. The original press, with continued use, has not discolored any further, and still makes a very attractive presentation. I do feel that the original press that I received was an anomaly - overall, I can recommend this product and the manufacturer. The press keeps the afternoon brew warm for me and my colleagues, and is a pleasure to use and share. The manufacturer understands quality control and accountability, and is focused, appropriately, on ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. I have not received any compensation or consideration for this revision of my prior review - I revised it because 1) the initial error was set right by the manufacturer, and 2) my prior review amounted to an inaccurate characterization of this quality product.
