**Independent review, verified purchase. NO compensation given for this post.** My maniac 2-year-old is only allowed one hour a day to play his educational apps on our old iPad 2. Needless to say, (remember the "maniac" part?) he has managed to not only spread every possible toddler excretion on it, but has also cracked the screen...alllll the way across, diagonally. I therefore required something that would protect both the iPad and the toddler. After combing through far more reviews than is necessary for a sane person, I settled on this simple little gem, as well as a tough screen protector, of course. It has a few minor drawbacks, but overall is worth the money and effort to wrestle it around your valuable electronics. The Good: • Cool red color! • DOES fit an old, clunky iPad 2. • Stands up to chewing. His gaping maw can remove chunks effortlessly from those sticky rubber baby bumpers but not this thing! • Ports accessible with a little wriggling for the charging cable. • DOES stand up to falls/throws from 4'. Don't ask me how I know this. • The cover for the charging port has spared liquid damage from a boy who was trying to "feed" it. • Adjustable handle is secure, soft but not too soft, moves both ways, and won't come off even with a freakishly strong toddler and his mom pulling in opposite directions. The Bad • Open ports are vulnerable to damage by "overfeeding". He doesn't understand it doesn't like apple juice. • Adjustable handle does it's job as a stand only on hard surfaces and tips very easily on carpet. As you can see in the photos, I waited a few months to determine the durability of this product. It's been decorated, beaten, stretched and pulled before making determinations on quality.
