Update: I have now owned this grinder for almost 3 years, and it still works like a champ! Is it noisy? Yes, but it’s grinding coffee beans, so it’s going to make noise! Not a deal breaker. Is it messy when emptying the chamber? Also, yes, but I’ve yet to find a coffee grinder that isn’t messy. It grinds consistently, and the coffee is great!!! Best of all, it didn’t break in a few months, which I’m seeing in reviews of almost every brand. I recently purchased the Secura Burr Coffee Grinder Mill, in part, based upon the excellent reviews. I've used it for several days now, and I'm shocked that no one mentioned what a mess it makes! Grounds go everywhere. Upon looking closer at the reviews, I find that very few of them even mention this coffee grinder. Most are for a French press. Very disappointed in Amazon for misrepresenting a product like this! UPDATE: I’ve been using this grinder daily since Jan., 2019, and it consistently delivers a uniform grind, and my coffee is excellent! Yes, it does make a bit of a mess when I dump the ground coffee into the filter, but I haven’t found any grinders that don’t do this. Update: June 21, 2021 After more than 2 years of daily use, it’s still working great. It makes a mess when you dump the ground coffee, but I haven’t found a design that doesn’t. It’s worth cleaning the few grounds off the counter because it makes fantastic coffee!! I highly recommend it!
