I typically only purchase 100% cotton sheets and try to purchase 800 thread count or higher. However I decided to give these microfiber sheets a try. I’ve heard that microfiber sheets can make for a sweaty night’s sleep so I was definitely skeptical. We live in Southern California and it can get pretty warm at night. Although in the description it mentions Egyptian cotton, it’s important to note that they are not and in the description it clearly states they are microfiber. Having read through all the reviews, I decided to give these sheets a try especially since I received a coupon code for a discount. The discount does not influence my review. My goal is to give honest feedback that is valuable to you which will help with the purchasing experience. The arrival of the discount was perfect as we desperately needed new sheets! WHAT I LIKE: The sheets shipped quickly and they came in a nice zippered bag as they do in the stores. My first impression is that they are of good quality and are definitely very soft. I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS and washed them in cold water on a gentle cycle, and then dried on low heat. They came out perfectly soft, they did not shrink, and they appear to be wrinkle-free, and so went right on our bed. We had no issues of waking up sweaty and they might even be softer than my 800 count sheets. The fitted sheet stayed on my bed so well (18 inch mattress). The pillow cases are nicely decorated with three darker gray lines and the pillows fit good in the cases. It does have a flap inside, as well. WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE: After the wash, I did notice a seam area that was strained and thought it might not hold-up well. I’m also not crazy about the color but it’s what the coupon was good for however, they came true to the color as advertised so I’m inclined to trust that if I order another color, it will arrive as advertised. I will probably order more of the sheets if these hold up for another couple of weeks. They are so reasonably priced and do feel like Egyptian cotton. I’m definitely very happy with the HC Collection Bed Sheet & Pillowcase and smiling ear to ear when I sleep on them.
