I ordered both the Pascals and the 1460s (from another store) for my daughter (age 17) to compare, assuming we would return one. The difference in the details are: The Pascals leather is softer, with a slight pebbly finish, and the top (around your ankle) is a tiny bit shorter, and the leather is just cut off - making it more pliable, so it doesn't rub your ankle/leg. The 1460s are a stiffer leather with a smoother, shinier finish, and have a sewn hem type edging along the top. When she wore the 1460s she noticed two things. The top edging rubbed her leg just above the ankle, and her heel slipped and rubbed painfully where the heel cup and shaft join - right on her achilles. The size on the Pascals were comparable to the 1460s, but the Pascals were a tiny bit narrower, and more compact, making them look slightly more refined (not as combat looking). She liked both shoes, but chose the Pascals for three reasons - no painful break-in period; finish of the leather; and it was easier to return the 1460's purchased at a local store (rather than shipping back to Amazon seller).
