So I was a little confused by the numbers referenced in several reviews as of June 2017. Hopefully this will clarify: There are currently 4 different toilets (2 sizes) of the 41541's (2.6 or 5.3 gallon) and (2 sizes) of the 41545's (2.6 or 5.3 gallons). They are listed on Amazon currently as the (Older Product) STANDARD (41541 model) and (Newer Product) PREMIUM (Not "Deluxe") (41545). As far as brands or features, several brands use the same design as the STANDARD Camco with various levels of quality in manufacture. There are some portable toilets that use a bellows, some that use a piston and some that use a battery operated pump. There is more to go wrong when you use inexpensive electric motors (especially over several years) and the bellows can wear out in the edges. Several reviews commented about the weight of the 5.3 gallon when full; however, understand that if you buy the 2.6 gallon, you'll be squatting on the toilet as its only about 12.5" high. The 5.3 gallon is about 16.5" high (so more like a normal toilet). I got the 5.3 and just remember to empty it more frequently... Of course, if you're buying for your child, don't mind squatting or to fit the toilet into a smaller storage space, then get the 2.6 gallon. A quick summary of comments about the use of a portable toilet and cleaning it out. If you use it for either #! or #2 and use toilet paper, it will be harder to empty. Consider doing like in Mexico (where the plumbing isn't very reliable) and put the TP in a basket or trash next to the toilet. If you want less smell, before your first use, put about 1" of water in the bottom (Black water) tank and then add the gel pack or toilet solution. Another good idea is to use a liquid deodorant in the top (Fresh water) tank (not the gel pack as it might clog it) for a fresher bowl smell and cleaning. You'll need a new gel pack or deodorant in the black water tank after about 3 days. If you are going to do #2 & use TP, consider putting a couple of pieces in an X across the bottom of the bowl to help stuff go down clean. Close the lid before you flush. The less TP, in the toilet, the easier it will be to clean out later. Consider RV TP, as it will break down faster. Don't put handi-wipes or feminine products in your toilet.. Use olive oil or similar on the flush seal every so often (not WD40 as it may break down the plastic seal). The main differences are the STANDARD has (reportedly finicky) latches on the sides, a pour OPENING in the back, a square shape, a flush pull on the front and a SINGLE spray rinse nozzle. Camco 41541 Portable Toilet - 5.3 gallon The Premium has a spring loaded latch in the back (which you pull to unlatch and then tip forward to separate), an pour SPOUT that SWIVELS (like the Thetford), a rounded front, a flush pull on the side, and THREE spray rinse nozzles. Camco 41545 Travel Toilet, 5.3 gallon We have two vestibules on our tent. We keep it in the back one. It's been great when you don't want to deal with a cloud of mosquitos at the public restroom or when my wife doesn't want to hike 1/4 mile in the dead of night.
