Manual Card Shuffler - a GREAT idea!
After reading reviews of the battery operated card shufflers, I knew that I wouldn't be satisfied. (I didn't want to have to use brand new cards, I wouldn't have patience with frequent jams, and I'd be very irritated if it didn't last long.) So, I ordered the manual one, and I can see that I was right! The benefit of having a MANUAL shuffler is that you can see & feel when cards start to misfeed and then stop to adjust before causing a full jam-up. Too many jam-ups could easily burn out a small motor. With the hand-operated shuffler, I can use old or even dog-eared cards as long as I adjust my own speed accordingly. I'm VERY satisfied with this manual shuffler. We play a card game with 5 decks of cards, and shuffling by hand was a real nuisance. With this shuffler, we can get through the whole stack in a couple of run-throughs and we no longer dread it being our turn to shuffle and deal. This unit is made of rather light weight plastic, so we can't handle it roughly or expect it to last for 40 years; but after using it a few weeks, we can see that does perform well under frequent use and should last long enough to be a real bargain!
