UPDATED REVIEW: Basically, this pillow is going to come to you as such a box of magic that R.L. Stine in the 90s could never have you prepared you for it. This "Goosebumps" book could have been called, "The Millenial Sleeps at Midnight". It is THAT good! 😍 However, before I sing its praises, I need to address my previous 2-star review. • I *was* honestly so excited to give this pillow to my friend to try, as he had gotten to use one for a couple of days with incredible results, but he just wouldn't buy it himself, so I did, as an "old person" type birthday gift. I was discouraged when it arrived with some discoloration (no chemical smell, just fresh and clean). In the future, if I had any type of issue, I would double or triple check that I was for *sure* contacting the appropriate parties for Coisum and not Amazon (which I usually have no issues with!) because I had trouble having my issue resolved with Amazon but Coisum stepped in and fixed it. I posted my previous review and then I was promptly contacted by Coisum directly to my email: they were sincere, concerned, apologetic, eager for feedback and hoping to make it right. And I'm not sure whether anyone cares, but I will add that not once did they even leave a hint of a suggestion as to whether I would change my review to show them in a better light. I'm just FINALLY updating of my own accord, and I'm doing it way later than I ought to have. Anyway, I was so glad to hear from Coisum ($60 for a pillow is a lot for me personally) and I had photos and all that jazz, but they blew my tiny mind by literally standing by their word and just trying to help in any way. These folks actually explained in a kind and empathetic manner, how I could access a refund without making it seem like I was a difficult customer. Incidentally, I was just hoping to return and exchange what I had. The folks at Coisum helped me efficiently arrange for a replacement, no return, no postage, no hassle. My replacement product arrived quickly. As was true last time, it was packaged very nicely and there was no type of smell whatsoever. This item was totally perfect. I gave it to my friend and here's the important part: this sucker is like 20/10 BUY IT for what it helps him with. Before this pillow, he had TERRIBLE numbness/pins and needles in his arms and hands every day, searing neck pain several times a week, tightness in his shoulders, etc. The "asleep" feeling in his arms and hands was what he hated the most. Now he says its *gone* when he uses this pillow and if he skips a night, it's back again. I frequently sleep near him overnight (work together and roommate and I can tell the difference, as well as the fact that I can hear the difference in his snoring through the walls. He also has said he has had a major improvement with his sleep apnea on nights when he uses this pillow versus when he doesn't. I'll probably end up trying one myself for awhile to see whether it helps with my own issues. I am entirely flabbergasted by how incredibly this product seems to help folks out. $60 will always feel like a lot to me for a pillow, unless I think of it in terms of *this* pillow. I hear almost DAILY from my friend about how this thing has changed his life at work and on personal time-- not to mention the ability to actually sleep properly-- that it blew away all of my expectations. Far and away, this has got to be, hands down, one of Amazon's best companies to do business with, from an outstandingly amazing product, to its superior customer service follow-through. I know for certain that I'll be returning time and again. 🙂 ORIGINAL REVIEW: I didn't get paid to review, I bought this myself as a gift for my friend who won't spend the money himself. He used one of these once when we stayed at someone else's house and it seemed to work wonders for those couple of nights. The shipping and packaging were fine, and I couldn't detect any chemical type of smell-- however, there were dingy spots as though it wasn't new, which freaked me out too much to give as a gift (not that I would want to try it myself, either, though I didn't need it for myself). An insert said it can be exchanged for a new one for any reason within a year, but after being unable to review it on Amazon (I submitted a review, but it never posted, even though it said would be after it was approved), I did email the company. They eventually did respond just saying I can try to do a return for a refund with Amazon's 30 day policy, or gave me a number to call. I can't get help exchanging it through the provided number. It feels kind of like a runaround. I don't know why Coisum can't just handle an exchange for me so that he could finally try the product and see if it would help. I would love to give it 5 stars, but as of right now, it feels like I set $60 on fire and watched the ashes blow away in the breeze.
