I have used electronic toothbrushes for years, but never the Sonic variety. I was using the other Dental recommended brand, O..-B, with the round heads. I found myself needing a new toothbrush when after years of use, my previous one would no longer hold a charge. I was using it for about half a month with absolutely no charge and decided to order a new one when my brush head had reached it's 3 months. I gave it one last charge two nights ago, and was woke up to it turning on in the charging base. It wouldn't turn off until I removed the battery! A few hours earlier I had ordered my AquaSonic. It arrived this morning, and I felt after brushing that my teeth were cleaner than my previous brush when it was new. Actually I feel there is no comparison! The sensation was more intense than what I was used to, I was able to use the clean function however with no problems. I could feel the vibrations deep down inside of my teeth and gums, not just on the surface. When I finished rinsing, I ran my tongue over my teeth and the feeling was just like it is when I leave the dentist office! I also tried the polish function with some of my charcoal tooth powder. Again I was pleased with the results! I appreciated how this toothbrush cost only a little more than 1/3 what I paid for the other one from my dentist office, and it came with 2.5 years of replacement heads! I like how small the brush head is, I felt it would reach into smaller spaces like behind my back teeth better than larger heads. I also liked the timer function, to let me know when to move to another zone to ensure all surfaces of my teeth are brushed adequately. I hope the toothbrush holds up well, the build quality of it seemed adequate. Maybe not as substantial feeling as my previous toothbrush, but I can see that as an advantage, especially when traveling. The travel case is very nice. Not as plasticy feeling as the case that came with my previous toothbrush. I do wish it had a head cover for when it sits on my counter. I will need to find or devise something for that purpose. The packaging was adequate. The outer box was damaged on one corner substantially, but the seals were in tact, and the inner molded packaging kept the toothbrush, heads, and charger safe from damage. There wasn't the least possible amount of packaging, but it was minimal and recyclable. I would buy this toothbrush again for myself or my family members, and I would recommend it at this point!
