Honest Review: You get what you pay for
Like so many others have said, you really do get what you pay for. But it’s by no means a bad desk. It’s cheap, yes. It’s smaller than expected, yes. The instructions and assembly is a pain in the ass, yes. But it’s functional and DOES NOT WOBBLE if you take your time and put it together correctly. I spent at least an hour and a half putting this desk together. I made sure to go through all of the parts and labled everything before trying to put any of it together. I only used tools (including the book) that were shown in the instructions. I feel like for a cheap desk I put in too much time, but I wanted to make sure I was able to have a functional desk and be able to leave a very honest review that would be helpful for others. A lot of the reviews about this desk are a bit dramatic. Read the product description and view all the reviews and pictures before purchasing any product online — I feel a lot of the very poor reviews are from people who simply didn’t do their homework before purchasing this desk. One of the parts did break while I was tightening it (included in the pictures), which was the only ‘major’ problem I had with the assembly. I am in college so I wasn’t looking for a heavy duty desk - I was more concerned with the size because my bedroom is very small. So the size works perfect for me. This is not a desk you want to use for a work office or anything along those lines. This desk holds my make up, textbooks, all my school supplies, and other random stuff I had in my old desk. My roommates 18 pound cat jumped up on it and nothing broke or wobbled around, so the weight limits are safe estimates but I can fit a lot more on here than I anticipated. Overall, it does the job. If you’re looking for a heavy duty desk, be prepared to pay more than $30 for it.
