This unit is a deceptive wood-like product as it both resembles and feels as though it's REAL wood. The functionality is amazing, diffusing my 20 x 25 living room with chosen essential oil scents for 6 hours on full power (I use 10 -12 drops of high quality oil). Have not used the colors other than on default mode so cannot testify to effectiveness. Overall, this unit is very high quality for a lower price comparing to similar options.
