Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

As of today, I've purchased three of these journals, within the past week. Not particularly because I thought they were steller, but because each journal is significantly different. Many reviews indicate that their journal does not look like the image shown. And, of the three I received, this is true for one of them. The first image is the first journal I received. It is lovely. It arrived as shown on Amazon. It was slightly smaller in size then advertised (9X6.5), but the leather was thick, lovely in color, excellent pages and really solid. So, I ordered a second one, because I have several of these types of journals and I use them frequently. The second image is the second journal that arrived. It did not look like the first one, in that it did not have the border around the top, the back was not embossed, like it was with journal one, the leather was flimsier, (more like a soft suede), it arrived with an ink pen mark on the inside cover (image 3 - also mentioned in reviews by others), but it was larger in size, like the description indicates. So, I thought perhaps I'd take a chance to order a third, and then select the best one to keep. Image 4. It arrived today and it is exactly like the first one that arrived; border around the edge of the journal, embossed on the back, and the correct size as described; not the smaller size as with journal number one. The leather was thinner and it didn't feel as solid as the first one, but it was nice looking. I think the inconsistencies depend upon the area in the fulfillment center these journals are coming from. The first journal and the third journal ( the ones that look alike) came in soft envelopes with padding. The second journal came in a box. Not that this matters, but they may be different lots, even though they came from the same center. Bottom line, they are each made differently and each have their own character. For me, that is okay, as that makes them unique. Although I'm not sure what I'm going to do, yet, I wanted to provide this feedback on my experiment. I suggest, if you can make separate purchases to see which one you like best, you'll be able to choose the right one, if any, for your purpose. Update on June 14, 2016. The difference between the three journals are that they are from 3 different sellers. Although the link for "Large Tree of Life Leather Blank Book" all go to the same product, each of my purchases were "sold by..." different sellers. Here's the breakdown, so you can choose which seller. First image, journal one, sold by Leather World, LTd. Second image, journal two, sold by handolederco. Fourth image, journal three, sold by FIGO, Inc. I didn't notice the different sellers for the same product, with the same link and price, until I was completing a review for another product, I then noticed they were different. I hope this further detail helps with your purchase.
