I debated which picnic table to get for my 1 year old for ages. Do I get the junior or standard size? With or without the umbrella? I opted for the standard size (didn't want him to out grow it too quick) and the umbrella and I am very happy with my choice. Why the umbrella? I debated on the umbrella thinking it might seem cheap and not be very durable. In the end I opted for it and I am very happy I did. Our deck has no shade and this provides the perfect amount of shade to little ones eating. The umbrella is also quite durable and has withstood the weather just fine. Why the standard size? I have a little guy (1 year old and 20 lbs.). I was worried the standard size might be too big and debated getting one of the "junior" models. In the end I opted for the standard, to avoid having to purchase another table in 1-2 years. I am happy that I got this one. Even though my little one is on the small side, he has no issue using this table. He gets in and out of it just fine. Glad I didn't go for the smaller one that he would have outgrown more quickly.
