This is just a quick Q&A for those of you (mainly parents) who are unsure what comes with this and what to expect inside the box of this Amazon Black Friday exclusive! I should note that at the time of this review, the deal was for $174. Right now, it is priced at $199 which is actually still really good. That's about the price of a Vita by itself. At least this still comes with several games. Q. So what's in the box that makes this deal so special? A. You get the Playstation Vita system (which I might add is the 3G/Wi-Fi version), a 4GB memory card, a charger for the system and essentially four games. Q. What games are included? A. Uncharted Golden Abyss (though for now this is offered for free for all Playstation Plus members), Retro City Rampage, and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time which are through a digital voucher (meaning you will have to download them onto your memory card). In addition, you'll also receive The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season plus the add on content called "400 Days," both of which also come in Digital Voucher format. Q. If I already have Playstation Plus, will it work on my Vita? A. Yes. If you buy a Playstation Plus membership, it will work for PS3, PS4, and PS Vita. For those of you who may not know, Playstation Plus is an online service that offers various discounts and perks on games and add-ons each month. While it is mandatory to play online for the PS4, it is optional for the PS3 and the PS Vita. A one year subscription costs $49.99, however there are cheaper options available. Also I should note that later today (Black Friday), there should be a 50% off sale on Playstation Plus memberships. Q. Does the Vita have trophy support? A. Yes, unlike it's predecessor the PSP, the Vita's games have trophy support that will sync up to your profile for your PS3 and/or PS4. Q. So is this deal worth it? Should I purchase a Vita?! A. Personally, if you've been interested in a Vita, now is the time to get one, especially at this price! You're really saving a decent amount on this in addition to getting a few great games at no extra charge. I'd highly recommend possibly purchasing a larger memory card though. For me, I haven't owned a handheld since the days of the Gameboy Advance (cool story bro), yet with it's vastly growing library of games, rich and beautiful display, and the new "selling point" of using remote play for PS4, I simply couldn't resist coming out from underneath my portable console rock! Again, highly recommended for anyone who loves gaming-on-the-go or just games in general! I would also like to note that if you own an Amazon Store Card (not the Visa), it is eligible to be financed for 6 months!
