I bought this as part of a mid-life crisis in an effort to project an upper mid-west hipster look. I was convinced this cardigan and a pair of skinny jeans, and a new hair cut would help transform me from a boring middle class father with an office job and volunteer at local school into the kind of edgy hipster that hangs out at non-Starbucks coffee shops and maybe smokes...in moderation... because it is bad for you. When the package arrived I was really excited. It was so soft, and it looked exactly as advertised. I got a large and while it fits well enough in a hanging out with the kids in front of the fireplace and watching the Mandalorian sort of way, it didn't have the form fitting tightness that I had imagined. I guess, if I'm being really honest in this review of an article of clothing, I had this fantasy that I would go to a non-Starbucks coffee shop and the barista (who has a nose ring and is in her late 20s in this fantasy) thinks, "Damn, that guy is kind of cute. I wonder if he is on the Tinder." I'm not on the Tinder of course, because I'm happily married. But, in my imagination, the barista would check anyway and be kind of disappointed! And it would all be because I had bought a sweater that really flattered what is politely described as my dad bod. I had this sweater in my wishlist for like 2 years, nursing this pathetic 40 year old fantasy of being desirable. Instead, my mom told me it looks really nice. When I mentioned that it fit a bit big, she said she didn't think so because that is how my father wore his cardigan sweaters. So I guess what I'm saying is that, it is a super soft sweater and I wear it a lot.
