Sounds like a bit of a downgrade right
So we moved our $4000 queen sized tempurpedic cloud with ergo base into our guest bedroom in exchange for a $700 king size Lucid (which I had never heard of until 2 weeks ago). We also bough the base for $99 and the Matress cover for $30 and new king sized bedding. All in all, spent about $1000 for a matress makeover.
Sounds like a bit of a downgrade right? WRONG! We live in AZ and it is hot, hot, hot in the summer making it hard to sleep especially on the tempurpedic which is so comfy but retains heat really badly. Something had to change this year so we took a risk on this Lucid thing. If you would have told me it was a tempurpedic I have believed you except for the fact that yesterday was 111 degrees and I actually slept with a light cover (AC running as usual). This is not normal! I typically have to get up in the middle of the night because I am burning up. This bed retains less than 1/2 the heat, if not more, than a tempurpedic. That was enough to keep me down for the night. It was a little on the firm side but I think it's because it's new and it needs to break in a little. Despite the slight firmness (compared to my tempurpedic) it hugs the body nicely giving in at the right pressure points. This bed saved me $4000-5000 I had been willing to drop on a new tempurpedic with cooling technology. So, the Lucid left me with $3000-4000, I used $1000 on a cruise. Still have $2000 left over and I have a big new bed that is totally amazing! I can't believe this bed came in a box! Disruptive innovation at its best!!! Way to go Lucid.
