I purchased this system with the 2tb hdd after a string of theft at my property. I have two outbuildings that I can’t see from my home, and when the cameras didn’t reach back to the NVR, an email to the wonderful team at Smonet was all it took. Betty, Grace, and Elsa all respond with in a few hours, and have made sure I get everything I need. I have two cameras that are installed with trees and a metal roof between the antenna and the NVR. The 10db antenna upgrade worked wonders. It is transmitting about 165’ with trees, and I can still remote view in real time. I find only a few second delay when watching with a clock. The video quality is fantastic. I have been able to capture great photos of suspicious vehicles. The application to view real-time and playback on the phone takes a minute to get used to, but works well. A little timeline is displayed with red tags where motion initiated a recording. Very easy to pinpoint triggers. Only had a crash or two, and resumed again straight away. The only drawback about this system: I wish it would be able to send a text notification for motion detection. The motion detection works well. Currently, a slight breeze in my yard and my ferns set off the motion detection. The settings are adjustable in both sensitivity and area. There must be a hundred or more squares that be be ignored or activated in each camera’s viewing matrix with the click of a mouse. This is not a paid review. I have never attempted to set up a security camera system, and it took about two hours to set up, understand the controls and formatting, play with the night vision, become familiar with the phone application, and mount in the real world. I am very pleased with this system, and I just placed an order for more 1080p cameras to add.
