I have had mutiple abdominal surgeries resulting in recurrent hernias and abdomiunal pain (due to adhesions/scar tissue). I've gone through all the "typical" abdominal binders (free from the hospital, available at medical supply stores, etc.) and over time they all start to roll over, become hot and uncomfortable and lose their shape. So I went on a search to find something better! At first, I considered the abdominal supports now being touted to pregnant woman. But after reading mutiple reviews, I realized they are no different; it's all in the marketing and high price (almost 3x as much as this binder!). I am very pleased with my choices. I have been wearing this binder everyday for about a month and a half and these are the benfits I've found: * binder lies flat and does not show under my clothes * it provides good supoort but is not overly restricting (great for slimming a post surgery-pregnacy belly! * the material is breathable and strechable (it hasn't bothered me on hot/humid days) * it's curved to be shaped for a woman- I think this is what keeps it from rolling * you can't beat the price! Remember, no binder is "perfect"- you're wearing a binder for God's sake! But this is the closest I've come. ** side note: pay attention to the dimensions!! I had to order a size smaller than my usual clothing size and I'm glad I did! Even if it starts tight, it stretches soon enough and there is plenty of "velcro attachment" space to adjust sizes.
