Got this for the house not to long ago. First I rented the carpet doctor thinking why should I buy anything if I can just rent it. Running the doctor on the carpets for almost 6 hours they didn't clean out as I expected. And so after couple more months of not being happy with the results and seeing how I failed I decided to invest in this Hoover. It shoved up in a big box and with a couple turns of a screwdriver I had a carpet cleaner. Going thru some reviews before I got, it some lady recommended to run over the carpet with just water in the machine to save the detergent, so I did just that. Needless to say after the first run over the carpets they looked like new. It took out all the dirt from way on the bottom, all the hair and small lint from years ago.
