This is going down as one of my favorite purchases in quite a while. It's well made, retains heat all night (still warm in the morning) and has a wide mouth that allows for ease of pouring, especially helpful if you're using a tea kettle to fill it. Plus the lips around the mouth don't fall in on themselves as was the case with my last hot water bottle. When it's emptied instead of the sides sticking to each other so it's hard for the water to drain out entirely, this one opens up and the water drains very well and dries quickly without needing to be hung. My only negative experience with this hot water bottle is the problem I've had with a cat burglar. And by that I mean that every time my cat sees me get out the hot water bottle and fill it she watches me closely. And as soon as I tuck it under the covers she leaps on the bed and lays on the hot water bottle and stares at me, just daring me to try to move her off it. I'm thinking I should have bought two. One for me and one for her....
