My Hunter ceiling fan was installed back in the early 90's with no pull chains etc. Remote is the only control option. So when the original remote started acting up a couple years ago I was not sure what to do and did not want to convert to another transmitter/receiver option. When I discovered this replacement, identified mainly by pictures and then further research, I was skeptical but decided to order anyway. It worked immediately after inserting a battery. Did not have to futz with dip switches as the replacement settings matched the original - I assume factory defaults. Pricey, but so worth it rather than the hassle of replacing the fan or messing with converting to other remote options. I am very happy with this product and look forward to more years of use of my great Hunter fan.
