I started taking colloidal minerals in the mid 80's. This first supplement was called Sea Silver and the nutrients came from the ocean. The FDA trounced on these folks and shut them down because the assay of elements in the solution was high in silver & Sea Silver promoted this assay point. This product then said it was a source for colloidal silver. A lawsuit against the company by the Federal Government, through the FDA, simply sued these folks on the truth in advertising law..... even though it was a natural source of this very element. This NOW supplement is one of the last liquid mineral colloidal supplements that is derived from a Prehistoric Rain Forest that was encapsulated in a shale deposit in Utah. Spring water is used to leach the minerals out of the shale and then the residual product is purified to get this supplement. A natural spring running over this shale deposit will have the same properties. Local Indians in Utah knew of the healing powers of this spring water and helped a man by the name of T.J. Clark when Mr. Clark was dying of a lack of nutrition. Now the site of this shale is called the T.J. Clark mine. Of course this shale deposit is in many places other than this one spot that helped Clark. NOW is one of the last sources for this supplement that naturally gives you BioAvailable minerals that are natural for the body. Mineral pills are poison because of the Particle Size of the metal mineral in a pill versus a natural colloidal mineral solution. What is a colloidal mineral? A colloidal mineral is gotten from plants. Plants spread out their roots in the soil and gather trace minerals from the soil to be a part of the fruit of that plant. Colloidal refers to the particle size of the mineral element. The body can not naturally expel large particle sized minerals that are in pills. With a colloidal solution like this NOW brand, the body can expel the nutrients in 24 hours or less through bile excrement or urine. Minerals from pills such as iron can build up in the body and be toxic. Iron rusts in the body when it can not be expelled from the body, in a natural way, in a short period of time.
