This is great! I bought it for my 3yr old. Didn't want to invest a fortune yet on heirloom stuff that will likely be scratched up, drawn on, and "abused" the way a 3yr old would use it. I have to say, I was expecting a useable but not great item, since it's partially composite. I was totally, and happily, surprised! Very sturdy. Solid wood "frame", meaning the four posts and six crossbars that make up the skeleton, well done veneered finish on all exposed parts. I think the very top and all drawer fronts are solid too, but I can't tell.. Very well done if its a composite. Gliders on drawers are smooth. It does have thin (thicker than some other dressers though) particle drawer bottoms, however, unlike cheaply made self assemble dressers, there are supports going across the middle from front to back underneath, so warping is far less likely. The other three sides of the drawers are composite, and they don't try to hide it, but it still looks fine. The assembly of the drawers is solid wood where the screws attach though... I'll post photos (the colored drawer handles didn't come with this, it comes with nice wooden ones). I put it together by myself, (5'2" woman) and it took me about two hours. It would have been helpful to have another when attaching the 2nd side, but it's doable alone, you just have to be really careful. Assembly instruction was easy to follow along- the only downfall was that the bags the screws were in all split apart- made from thin, brittle plastic, so I had to sort and count before going forward, but everything was there in the hardware box. It also comes with a small safety wall attachment kit to prevent tipping, which I didn't find any info about in the instructions, and the parts were not listed in the inventory sheet... but very happy it was included! Nothing was damaged as other reviews talked about, so I didn't need to contact about replacement parts, but the instructions say they will send them to you if you need them. It looks really sharp, smooth and quality. I am very happy with this purchase, it looks really nice in my son's room. I highly recommend this dresser to anyone who doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg for their toddler's furniture.
