SKEPTIC INTO A BELIEVER: If It Worked For My Jet Black Hair Than It Can Work For You! Lifts Nicely! ***UPDATED 2017***
I’m officially updating this review to show how this bleach worked all over my head! As you know, it lifted the rusty red stains I had left on the tips of my hair really well. The once rust red became a gorgeous golden blonde. I’ll add a photo of how my jet black hair faded into a golden blonde. I also want to include photos of how my hair looked after applying it all over my head.
After wearing that golden blonde at the ends of my hair for a while, I went back using this bleach powder and a 40 volume developer for my jet black hair that had grown out about four to five inches. I did NOT touch the golden blonde tips with the bleach the first time I did my black hair.
After the first bleaching session, my once black hair was carrot orange. It was expected because of how dark my natural hair was. I left it for a few days to give my hair a rest. Then, I went back using this bleach powder and a 30 volume developer instead. I used that mixture over my entire head. I was left with pale yellow hair that faded into a cool white tone at the ends. I’ll include a photo of how that looked right out of the shower.
Then, I followed up with the Wella Color Charm toner in shade T-18 which is Lightest Ash Blonde about a day or two later and I was left with the beautiful cool white blonde that I wanted! I will include photos of the final result.
**NOTE: Of course doing such an intense bleach job on my hair left it very dry and my ends were kind of damaged. I was going from a level 1 jet black to a level 9 / 10 white pale blonde in just a week. To tackle that damage, I highly recommend you purchase a bottle of Olaplex number 3 off of Amazon and saturate your clean and damp hair in the mixture, braid your hair and leave it in over night. I left the Olaplex in my hair over night before styling my hair and the difference was magical!! The Olaplex healed the broken disulfide bonds that the bleach had ripped apart and it left my hair silky and hydrated, even from a jet black to a white blonde in one week.
I also recommend the Aphogee 2 step protein treatment to add the hydrolyzed proteins back into your hair after the bleach wiped them out. Protein strengthens the hair overall, without it, your texture will become brittle and hair will be prone to frizz and breakage.

Notice how silky and shiny the blonde turned out to be in the video upload. My hair was not damaged, nor was it broken. I did get a few dead ends clipped off, which is recommended for anybody who is a bleach blonde. But it was NOT broken off in an unevenly chopped, cracked manor. You see the extensive, harsh bleaching I did on my hair and I was a jet black naturally. My hair was really hydrated and healthy, though. So make sure your natural hair is pretty strong before trying my method. But anything is possible if I could go from black to this white of a blonde with minimal damage and healthy results in a period of about two weeks.
This bleach lifts EXTREMELY fast with a 40 volume. Be aware of that. It is very effective. It’ll get the job done for those of you who are lightening your hair.
Any questions, you could ask away. Happy bleaching!
